Financial Analysis And Assessment Of Apple Inc. Essay

This paper intends to provide a financial analysis and assessment of Apple Inc. from the years of 2005 to 2009. The evaluation is based on the numbers calculated from the data on Apple Inc.’s Financial Performance Worksheets. This paper covers three areas. The first part of the paper contains a brief history of Apple and the position of the organization in the market of computers. The second part is a calculation of Apple s performance and the reasons for their success. Finally, a conclusion and recommendation for Apple Inc. According to Poeter (2012), Apple was founded by Stephen Wozniak, Steven Jobs and Ronald Wayne in California on April 1, 1976. Ronald Wayne parted ways with Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak just 8 days after co-founding Apple. In the early years, Apple released products like personal computers and operating systems. These products were not very prosperous. After a lackluster period, 21 years after the company was founded, Steve Jobs returned and led Apple Inc. to its resurgence. Since his return, Apple has grown into a giant in the personal computer marketplace. The innovation of Apple products has led the group to increase its skill in developing the iPod, the iPhone, iTunes and iWork’s products. Over the years, Apple has been able to create products that are almost impossible to emulate. Apple has placed the organization in a competitive advantage over its competitors.
